The Names Alliance got its start in 2021 when a group of volunteers seeing a swell in name-based prejudice began meeting to share information and strategies. In 2024, we launched The Names Alliance to foster a more humane and caring society by raising awareness of the cultural, social, personal and legal significance of personal and family names.

We are eager to connect and champion allies in every sector who are engaged in this positive and inspiring work.
